IS TO SAVE A LIFE
Saving the lives of desperately ill children
in Madagascar's hospitals is one of our commitments.
“But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. “
Luke 10:33
OUR VISION
Towards a peaceful Malagasy society where children, mothers, young people and families enjoy their fundamental rights.
OUR MISSION
Contribute to improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable and to achieving Madagascar’s most vital and urgent sustainable development goals.
OUR VALUES
Compassion
Without compassion, we wouldn’t act to help the community that is reaching out to us for help. With a compassionate heart, we help build a better world.
Sharing and mutual aid
No one is independant in every way; we need one another. Madagascar needs us all to be committed, responsible, generous and helpful.
Solidarity
The changes we dream of require the contribution of all those who share our vision; we firmly believe that it is by joining forces that we can achieve the greatest accomplishments. Our commitment to supporting the most vulnerable in our community shows that we are responsible for each other, and that we are determined to build a better, fairer world for all.
Integrity and transparency
We are committed to the highest feasible level of integrity, transparency and accountability because absolutely all our beneficiaries, donors, partners and stakeholders deserve it!
SOME DATES
2010
Kangaroologist Elodie Prisca RANJANORO founded the association in response to the plight of hundreds of sick children from low-income families who couldn’t have access to the medical care they needed.
Shocked by the fact that a suffering child’s fate depended on his or her economic situation, the urgent need to set up a structure dedicated to this cause was, for her, self-evident.
2012
Obtaining a room at the Befelatanana University Hospital complex as headquarters.
2013
Establishment of the first Kangaroo Mother Care center within the Pediatric Service of the Toamasina University Hospital complex after specialized training in this method at the Fundación Canguro in Bogotá, Colombia, by the Founding President.
2017
Beginning of our partnership with the enterprise Star Madagascar. Since then, they have continuously provided emergency medicines and bottled water for sick children every month, helping over 2,000 children a year.
2021
Grant acquisition through the Fanainga program, funded by German Cooperation (GIZ), the European Union, the Principality of Monaco, and the Embassy of France in Madagascar for the awareness and training of healthcare personnel on the Kangaroo Mother Care method to save 6,000 children annually in the Analamanga region.
